The VP will lead and set operational/development goals for designated region in the Subway system. Managing a restaurant portfolio of up to 5,000 restaurants. In addition to the responsibilities outlined in assigned Region, coach Subway franchise owners on increasing sales and profitability and thereby enabling them to grow their portfolio. Define the Region Operational and Development growth plans in partnership with the VP of Company Territories and Director of Development. Including problem resolution & retention of portfolio. The RVP will be consistently directing and leading their team on Regional and Company initiatives to drive the defined MBO’s. This will be accomplished by analyzing the overall performance of all restaurants in the territory to either add more restaurants, relocate, transfer ownership, or consolidation.
BUILDING SALES & PROFITS: In partnership with the VP of Company Territories defines the monthly, quarterly and yearly strategic plan and KPI”s. Ensures Director of Operations and Franchisee Business Partners are imparting SOPs guidance and education during Restaurant Visits. Providing day to day White Glove Service to the Franchise System. Oversees operational standards and objectives in the Region. Resolves outstanding operational issues, improves levels of operational excellence, conducts franchisee meetings, communicates and ensures training on new initiatives are taking place, and ensures consistent communicating is taking place within assigned Region. Review Franchisee Business Plans with DO’s and FBP’s for Top Line and Financial Strength growth. Partnership with Special Operations team on transition of new territories into the assigned Region. Triage of underperforming locations with field teams in the newly acquired areas. Work with Operations and FWH to ensure operational excellence is taking place within assigned Region. Fully understand the current business climate of the hospitality and QSR industry and ability to adapt to new initiatives. Reviews marketing plans and tracking performance of team. Oversees training programs within the Region in order to strengthen operations.
BUILDING STORES: Partnership with Director of Development, Director of Special Operations and VP of Company Territories on the yearly Development plan. As it pertains to Opens, Closures, Relocations, Transfer, Sales, Terminations and Remodels. Site Reviews and also training FBPs on Site Reviews to conduct three day parts of customer intercepts for all reviews within assigned area. Provide direction and proficiency to FBPs, franchisees and staff with regard to New Store Openings & Transfer Training Hours. Help to determine the readiness of the location to open based on their assessment of the operation Assist with the opening of all new SUBWAY locations as outlined by the Company. Guide Franchise Business Partners to timely complete an opening Evaluation, opening photographs, and opening hours log and submit to FWH. Leads the development, distribution and on-going evaluation of operational standards, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with Brand standards, safety standards, and legal requirements. Partners with Business Unit’s Managing Directors and the Strategy Analysis and Development team to determine which Franchise restaurants are to be replaced, remodeled or closed; plans and oversees support needed to make transition.
