Job Responsibilities:
- Provide project planning, milestone management, scope management, resource forecasting; financial management; change management across the projects providing training and guidance where necessary
- Ensure the Project and Portfolio RAID logs are accurately and regularly maintained
- Ensure project dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained
- Guide the Project Managers through the delivery lifecycle governance and gate reviews
- Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed
- Ensure projects are following the change control process across the portfolio
- Apply governance standards across the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of project and programme deliverables
- Embed the frameworks and standards for Project and Portfolio Management
- Manage and compile project related financial and KPI information
- Support capacity planning and resource tracking across the portfolios, working closely with Project Manager to ensure resource requirements are accurately captured
- Provide a quality assurance role in line with defined PMO processes, conducting regular health checks on projects and taking responsibility for ensuring they meet the required standards
Job Requirements:
- Understanding of the importance of detail and organisation
- Programme and Project Support Office (BCS Professional Certification PPSO);
- Professional qualification (degree or industry experience)
- Proficient IT skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
- Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (APMG – P30®);
- Experience and certifications in any of the following are desirable:Experience of working within a structured project management framework –
- Waterfall and AgileKnowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Diplomatic ability to influence colleagues
- Comfortable communicating at all levels
- A strong customer-centric approach
