We have an opportunity for a NPI Sourcing Project Manager to join our NPI Aerospace team in Yeovil. You will be responsible for the execution of all sourcing activities across the new product introduction (NPI) business. Job Responsibilities:
- Working within the flawless launch boundaries and IPDS (Integrated Product Development System) ways of working.
- Coordinate with Procurement and supplier contracting teams to ensure that parts on selected programs are awarded and contracted to preferred suppliers, and purchase orders place to meet program requirements.
- Work across different functions to ensure smooth delivery and making sure parts meet program spec and cost targets.
- Create and conduct reporting for sourcing leadership and tracking program statuses driving to negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost goals and meet delivery time frames
- Be the main focal point for integrated project team for NPI out of Yeovil predominantly.
- Responsible for looking for appropriate supplier parts and conducting early supplier engagement.
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience within Sourcing/Procurement
- Proven background in project management
- Knowledge of contracts
- Ideally within aerospace but will accept people from a mechanical/industrial background
- Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
- Previous experience working within an NPI function would be desirable
