Job Description:

As Barclays Model Risk Framework Manager, you will be joining a team that is responsible for designing and rolling out Model Risk Frameworks that incorporate supervisory expectations and industry best practices to ensure a sustained best-in-class approach to Model Risk Management. The team is responsible for incorporating feedback from key stakeholders to ensure governance objectives are achieved.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting business areas with answers to framework compliance questions
• Being an ambassador for the Model Risk Management program, ensuring that the model risk framework is communicated in a simple, clear and concise way throughout the firm
• Sharing best practices and generic issues with stakeholders and providing training to enable compliance
• Performing updates and checks on the Model Risk owned Policy, Standards, and Procedures
• Supporting development and maintenance of training programs
• Supporting driving a sustained best-in-class model risk management framework that aligns and complies with supervisory expectations
• Building and maintaining effective two-way relationships with other risk practices to understand 1st line of defense feedback
• Staying abreast of new supervisory guidance on model risk and conducting gap analysis to identify areas of policy improvement and driving the timeline for remediation

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Model Risk Group Policy, supporting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g. SR11-7) applicable to model risk management
• Provide appropriate challenge and make recommendations where quality or control levels could be improved
• Bachelor’s degree in a financial or technical field or equivalent experience
• Experience in developing frameworks and/or translating into standards and procedures
• Experience in multiple areas of risk including knowledge of banking regulatory environment
• A provenTrack record of delivery under tight deadlines
• Produce high quality written communication and presentations including training materials to technical and non-technical audiences of levels of seniority
• Ability to prioritize work in order to maximize value for the business, ability to deliver quickly and under pressure is essential
